As a Coral Reef Advocate and aspiring marine policy professional based in New York, I’ve made it my mission to protect and restore our oceans for future generations.

My Journey

With a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a career that has spanned startups and project management, I’ve developed a strong foundation in problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration. From leading startups to connecting individuals with resources to achieve their goals, I’ve always been driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. Now, I’m channeling that drive into ocean conservation, leveraging my professional skills to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time—protecting our marine ecosystems.

My Passion

My love for the ocean began in childhood, watching the Chris Kratt Brothers and Steve Irwin, and was cemented at sixteen when I became scuba certified in Key Largo, Florida. However, it wasn’t until snorkeling near Playa Del Carmen in 2021 that I experienced the stark reality of coral bleaching—a moment that changed my perspective forever. Since then, I’ve committed my mindset to conservation, most recently volunteering with Aquarium Divers for Coral (ADFC) and Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire, helping contribute over 159 hours to coral restoration outplanting sites in Bonaire. These experiences have fueled my determination to advocate for sustainable marine practices and ocean policy that prioritizes conservation.

I’m writing here as a reflection of my journey and my belief that everyone can play a role in protecting our oceans. Here, I aim to share personal stories, insights on ocean policy, and solutions for tackling challenges like coral bleaching and climate change. Whether you’re a seasoned conservationist, a policymaker, or simply curious about the ocean’s wonders, my goal is to make this space informative, engaging, and inspiring.
